ABOUT

“Life and Sound" is an immersive VR adventure game where players will immersively explore a dark, sound-filled world. The game relies on a highly realistic sound experience and collects various sounds to unlock new areas, new partners and puzzles, ultimately leading to a new world  breathes life into this new world.

Inspired by

Cognitive Psychology
Characters, by identifying sounds in the darkness and associating them with their brain’s memory, allow players to distinguish objects even when they lose their vision. And in the end, when players regain their sight, they use the collected ‘sounds’ to infuse these ‘sounds’ into the environment to alter the player’s inherent perception of objects.

Music style references/ Sound design
In-game sounds will be the player’s primary source of information. Includingenvironmental sounds, character sounds, special sounds, etc., through stereo soundand spatial audio technology, players can accurately perceive the direction and distanceof sounds, thereby better navigating and solving puzzles and enhancing the player’ssense of immersion.

(Before new world)

Before entering the new world, all are played in the dark, and all models will not be seen. There are only sound triggers and a small light source flashing when the collection prompt appears (the kind that cannot illuminate objects).

Characteristics
Her personality and emotions are introverted and sensitive, with a bit of social fear. She will always run into rooms where no one is around and do various things indoors. She can hear some small sounds because these sounds will be amplified here.
Interaction
Players can influence their emotions and trust by choosing different dialogue options. It can make him willing to stay in the same space with the player and move freely or try to go out. If the trust level is not enough, Roka will keep running away. In addition, if you interact with her using different voices, it may cause screaming, heavy breathing, etc., to wait.

His personality and emotions are outgoing, easy-going, and calm. He loves nature and will always run to nature and enjoy the sounds of wind, streams, insects birds, etc. in nature.

Players can influence their emotions and trust by choosing different dialogue options. It can make him willing to slow down and take the players with him.

His personality and emotions are rational and organized, and he is susceptible to sounds and good at analyzing sounds. If he is there, almost all sounds will be distinguished.

Players use sound navigation to explore the world in the dark.
Real sound simulation
The sounds in the game are designed and recorded to enhance the player's sense of immersion, including echoes of empty environments, footsteps, animal sounds, waterfalls, firewood, rain, voices, vents, typing, and elevator sounds. etc. to increase the realism of the game.
Highly interactive
Players can trigger, record, and emit sounds when encountering certain areas to unlock areas or puzzles.
Partner role interaction
Team up with partner characters who are sensitive to certain sounds to unlock hidden areas and solve puzzles cooperatively.
Emotional interaction
The player's choices and emotions affect the interaction and character direction of the partner character (the partner continues to accompany, betray or leave).
Dynamic storyline
Players' choices and behaviors will affect the development of partner characters in the game and the game ending (the appearance of the new world), providing a variety of different game experiences.
